DAYS PER YEAR: 203 

HOURS PER DAY: 2.5 (3:30pm - 6:00pm)

 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Highly interested in school-age children.
2. Warm, positive attitude and an ability to relate with children and adults.
3. Willingness to fulfill the program goals.
4. Prefer a degree in Child Care, teaching, or a related area of study – MUST HAVE 60 college credits.
5. Take any required online training classes (Gateways).
6. Become CPR and First Aid certified (Project SCOPE will provide the class).
7. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

 

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise and implement activities in the extended day program
2. Meet the needs of the individual child
3. Treat each child with dignity and respect
4. Assume an equal share of housekeeping responsibilities with the staff
5. Attend any mandatory staff meetings and participate in training programs
6. Establish a positive liaison with parents and children
7. Assist in fulfilling the program goals
8. Support school rules and staff members
9. Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator or Immediate Supervisor

SALARY:

Assistant:  $17.83 per hour (26-27) Without 60 college credit hours

Associate:  $18.64 per hour (26-27) With 60 college credit hours
